Hood Warfare 2 GangBang Mode: Rules, Maps and Gun Testing
Hood Warfare 2 GangBang mode explained: team deathmatch rules, all four supported maps, and why it is the best place to test a gun.
What is GangBang mode in Hood Warfare 2?
GangBang is Hood Warfare 2’s team shootout mode: two gangs go head-to-head, and the gang with the most kills wins. Behind the scenes the engine calls the mode TeamDeathmatch, and the game’s own string table maps the phrase ‘Team Deathmatch’ onto the public name GangBang.
How do you win GangBang?
Scoring is kills only — nothing else adds points. There is no flag to capture, no turf to hold and no target to plant at, so every death you avoid and every kill you bank moves your gang closer to the win. The official Steam description calls it ‘a classic team shootout’ and says the gang with the most kills wins.
Because the win condition is purely eliminations, there is no moment where you must abandon a fight to babysit an objective. If you are ahead, you protect the lead with positioning; if you are behind, every gunfight is a chance to swing the score back.
Why is GangBang the best mode for testing a gun?
It is the cleanest mode for learning how a weapon handles because there is no objective to protect. Your attention stays on pure gunfights, so you can judge a gun’s feel — its handling — without babysitting a payload or holding turf. Every other mode pulls you toward an objective; GangBang leaves you free to focus.
This matters even more because attachments unlock through per-weapon challenges rather than purchase. Before grinding a gun’s challenge list, run it in GangBang to confirm the handling suits you.
Which maps support GangBang?
All four launch maps support GangBang in Hood Warfare 2. The game’s per-mode compatible-map lists confirm that every map in the pool runs all six modes, so you can warm up on any layout you like. There is no GangBang-only or GangBang-excluded map.
| Map | Supports GangBang |
|---|---|
| Downtown | Yes |
| Suburbs | Yes |
| The Trenches | Yes |
| Chicago Mall | Yes |
If you want a controlled environment instead of live lobbies, private matches with bots let you pick any of these maps, set the mode and fill both teams.
Which weapon challenges tick in GangBang?
Kills-style challenges tick here because scoring is kills only. Of the 13 per-weapon challenge types, the ones built around eliminations — Kills, Headshots, Longshots, PointBlanks (under 5 metres), Hipfire, and kills earned while ADS, crouched or suppressed — all progress through ordinary GangBang gunfights.
All 13 per-weapon challenge types
The full challenge list per weapon is: Kills, Headshots, Longshots, PointBlanks, Hipfire, ADS, Doubles, Triples, BestStreak, Crouched, Suppressed, Objective and NoOptic. Point-blank is the only type with a published definition, counted under 5 metres. Exact target numbers for each challenge tier are not published.
Where do I go next?
