Hood Warfare 2 Chaos Mode: No Crews, No Allies, Solo Scoring
Learn how Hood Warfare 2 Chaos mode works: solo kill scoring, no teammates, and which weapons and maps suit free-for-all fights.
What is Chaos mode in Hood Warfare 2?
Chaos is Hood Warfare 2’s free-for-all mode: every player fights alone and the highest personal kill count wins. The Steam page describes it as “Every man for himself. There is no loyalty to a gang in this mode. Get the most kills to come out on top.” Internally, the engine calls this mode FreeForAll.
The game’s own string table maps the plain-English label “Free For All” to the public name Chaos, and the build ships a Map_FreeForAll asset alongside the mode itself.
The full in-game description, verbatim
“No crews. No allies. No rules. Everybody can get it.”
How does individual scoring work in Chaos?
In Chaos there are no team scores at all: every player is ranked individually, and the single highest personal kill count decides the winner. The build includes a dedicated free-for-all player scores widget during the match and a free-for-all tally screen at the end. Any deeper scoring formula beyond raw kills is not published.
That means every kill you earn is credited only to you, and every death is yours alone. For the full picture of how Chaos compares with the other five modes, see the game modes overview.
Why is there no team support in Chaos?
Because there are no teammates in Chaos, nobody can help you. Nobody trades kills with you, covers your flank or draws fire, so every duel is one you must finish alone. The in-game description says it plainly: no crews, no allies. For a new player, that makes Chaos the hardest mode to start with.
Every other system in the mode follows from that. With no squad around you, positioning, awareness and your own loadout have to do all the work that team coordination would normally cover.
Which weapons and playstyle suit solo fights in Chaos?
With no squad to fill gaps, your entire loadout in Chaos is a personal choice. The game has 17 weapons, of which 11 have full data, and each accepts attachments unlocked through per-weapon challenges. Weapon stat values exist in-game but are not readable from the files, so raw damage and fire-rate comparisons are not published.
Everything you bring into a solo fight comes from three personal loadout layers:
| Loadout layer | Options in the build |
|---|---|
| Killstreaks | Drive By, Homies, Cluster Strike, Claymore, Suicide Bomb — 5 rewards across 3 loadout slots |
| Perks | +Speed, +HP, +Utility, +Ammo |
| Field upgrades | Ammo Box, Lethal Ammo Box, Med Kit |
Because there is no team to resupply or protect you, self-sufficiency matters more than in any crew-based mode. Mobility and sustain are the only perks with published text — +Speed simply reads “More speed”, while the other three perks have no published descriptions.
Which maps support Chaos mode?
Chaos is supported on all four of Hood Warfare 2’s launch maps: Downtown, Suburbs, The Trenches and Chicago Mall. The game’s own per-mode compatible-map lists confirm that every map supports all six modes, so map choice never locks you out of free-for-all. Two further maps, Supermarket and The Strip, exist in the build but are unreleased.
| Map | Chaos support |
|---|---|
| Downtown | Yes |
| Suburbs | Yes |
| The Trenches | Yes |
| Chicago Mall | Yes |
The unreleased maps are covered in the unreleased content page, and the full map details live in the map pool guide.
