Hood Warfare 2 Operators: Darnell, DeShawn & Tyreese
Hood Warfare 2 operators explained: the three playable characters, their outfit variants, team colours, voice lines and how unlocking works.
How many operators are in Hood Warfare 2?
Three: Darnell, DeShawn and Tyreese. Each has two loadout variants and a separate version for each gang, and each carries roughly 110 voice lines — enough that you will not hear the same bark twice in a match. Unlike the weapon roster, this list is short and fully confirmed.

Who are the three operators?
The names come from the game’s operator data assets, each of which stores a name, an icon, a class, a team and a level requirement. Darnell wears a jersey and bandana in your gang’s colours and has the most outfit sets in the build; DeShawn and Tyreese follow the same pattern, with Tyreese’s hoodie appearing in both team colourways.
| Operator | Variants | Outfit sets | Voice lines |
|---|---|---|---|
| Darnell | A / B | 3 | ~110 |
| DeShawn | A / B | — | ~110 |
| Tyreese | A / B | — | ~110 |
How are operators built?
They are MetaHuman characters. The build contains MetaHuman body and face meshes, a retarget pipeline for MetaHuman animation, and default character assets — so the three operators share one rig and one animation set, and their differences come from kit and voice rather than from body types.
What does that mean in practice?
Because all three share a MetaHuman rig, animations, hitboxes and movement behave the same whoever you pick. Your operator choice is therefore cosmetic plus voice — there is no hidden stat difference that the files support.
Do operators affect gameplay at all?
No gameplay advantage is documented. Operators carry a name, icon, class, team and unlock level, but nothing in the build ties a perk, a weapon bonus or a movement modifier to a specific character. Perks belong to your loadout, not to your operator — so pick the one whose voice and kit you like.
How do I unlock operators?
Each operator has a level requirement, and bots can use them too — the data includes a locked flag, a level-to-unlock value and a “use for bots” flag. The numbers themselves are stored as binary properties inside the operator assets, so this wiki does not publish them; check the operator picker in-game for the requirement on each character.
Where do I go next?
Operator choice sits on top of your loadout, so get the weapons and perks right first. The weapon list covers all 17 guns with their classes, and the progression page explains how reputation and weapon challenges unlock the rest.
